Why There Is no Pre-Tribulation

By Erin  Naylor

Why there is no Pre-Tribulation? Here is why.

Straight from the bible

Books: Revelation, Matthew, 1 Corinthians, 1 and 2 Thessalonians, 2 Peter and Daniel.

Hello. I am a Christian. I attend Calvary Chapel Boise, Idaho. I know the majority of Christians in the world believe there is a pre-tribulation, which we will be taken up before the tribulation, but if you don't mind I would like to go over some scriptures in the BIBLE about this. To show you through scripture why there is no pre-tribulation. This is in scripture, not me making anything up. The bible says it. Jesus speaks of it also. So please listen before you reject anything I say.

I myself have read the book of Revelation, and I have come to notice that in Revelation 7:14 it says:

"And I said to him, "Sir, you know." So he said to me, "These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb."

As you see, we are coming out of the Great Tribulation, read it for yourself if you must. There is no pre-tribulation. We are not taken out before the tribulation. It says right there in the Bible.

Revelation Chapter 1-3, talks about the seven churches. Chapter 4, talks about the Throne Room. Chapter 5 talks about Who is to open and look at the scroll of the seven seals. Chapter 6-7, talks about the seven seals. Chapter 7 talks about the Sealed of Israel having the seal of God on the servants of God, on their foreheads. Then it goes on to talk about the multitude from the Great Tribulation, Revelation 7:9-17:

A Multitude from the Great Tribulation (the subtext in the bible before the following verses)

After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!" All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying:

"Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom,

Thanksgiving and honor and power and might,

Be to our God forever and ever.

Amen."

Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, "Who are these arrayed in white robes, and where did they come from?" And I said to him, "Sir, you know." So he said to me, "These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. "Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them. "They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; "for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."

Notice how it the subtext says from the tribulation, and not before the tribulation or anything having to do with not going through the tribulation. Chapter 8-14 talks about the trumpets and notice in chapter 14:14-16:

“Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat One like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle. And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, “Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.” So He who sat on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped.”

Chapter 14:14-16, it talks about the Reaping the Earth's Harvest, you know, we are the Harvest, this also shows that we get taken up after the tribulation. Cause you see, before chapter 14, it talks about what happens when the trumpets are blown. Chapter 14 is the last trumpet, the seventh trumpet, and it is after the first six trumpets. You see we do go through the tribulation. I'm not telling a lie, it is in the bible, just read it for you and go through it slowly. Read every verse every chapter. Don't miss a word. And Listen and read with an open mind, open eyes, and open ears. As well as, praying for the Holy Spirit to receive wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.

Notice also in Matthew chapter 24:29-31. Its talks about Jesus coming in the clouds:

The Coming of the Son of Man

"Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. "Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. "And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Matt 24:29-31 (NKJV)

In Acts Chapter 1 talks about when Jesus ascended into heaven:

Jesus Ascends to Heaven

Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven."

Acts 1:9-11 (NKJV)

Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed-- in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

1 Corinthians 15:51-53 (NKJV)

The Day of the Lord

But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, "Peace and safety!" then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.

Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him. Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.

1 Thessalonians 5:1-11 (NKJV)

The Great Apostasy

Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 (NKJV)

Prophecy of the End Time

"At that time Michael shall stand up,

The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people;

And there shall be a time of trouble,

Such as never was since there was a nation,

Even to that time.

And at that time your people shall be delivered,

Every one who is found written in the book.

And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake,

Some to everlasting life,

Some to shame and everlasting contempt.

Those who are wise shall shine

Like the brightness of the firmament,

And those who turn many to righteousness

Like the stars forever and ever.

"But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase."

Then I, Daniel, looked; and there stood two others, one on this riverbank and the other on that riverbank. And one said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, "How long shall the fulfillment of these wonders be?" Then I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever, that it shall be for a time, times, and half a time; and when the power of the holy people has been completely shattered, all these things shall be finished. Although I heard, I did not understand. Then I said, "My lord, what shall be the end of these things?" And he said, "Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. "Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand. "And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days. "Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days. "But you, go your way till the end; for you shall rest, and will arise to your inheritance at the end of the days."

Daniel 12:1-13 (NKJV)

Revelation 14:14-16 and Matthew 24:29-31 talks about Jesus coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet (the seventh trumpet) and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. And notice before this happens in verse 29 it says,

"Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken." Verse 30, "Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory." Verse 31, "And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”

Then chapter 15 thru 16 talks about the seven bowls, and notice in chapter 16:15-17 says,

"Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.” And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon. Then the seventh angel poured out is bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, “It is done!"

Then Jesus said He shall not return until all things are fulfilled:

"For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.

Matt 5:18 (NKJV)

"Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

Matt 24:34-35 (NKJV)

The Day of the Lord

“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.”

2 Peter 3:10-13 (NKJV)

I am reading out of the New King James Version, but it doesn't matter what version you read out of it will say the same. It may have different words or wordings, but it will all say and mean the same. I don't want to argue or cause any trouble. I'm just simply showing to the simple truth of the bible. Just showing you so you don't become mislead or anything, when it actually happens.

The problem is that the majority of Christians, who believe in a pre-tribulation, don’t read their bibles. They read a verse and they stop in the middle. They don’t finish reading the rest of it. They read it out of context. Read the whole book of Revelation before you start commenting about anything about it. It is important that Christians know the bible for themselves. You don’t know who could be misleading you. Your own pastor could be misleading you and you would not know it. Wash your eyes in the Holy Spirit. Open your mind, and listen with hearing ears that God gave you. Don’t be stubborn or arrogant. Just listen. Just read it. The bible says it. Jesus says it. If you wouldn’t listen to me, then listen to Jesus. Wake up people. How much will it take for Christians to really read their bibles? God made the bible simple for everyone to read and understand. God made salvation simple. Don’t make things complicated when they are not complex.

I don’t know who started the misleading of thinking there is a pre-tribulation, when the bible simply says there is not. Read your bibles people. Wake up. Wash your mind, eyes and ears out with the Holy Spirit and don’t rely on your own understandings, but the Holy Spirit"s understanding. Don’t rely on others. Rely on God, rely on the Holy Spirit, and especially rely on Jesus Christ. He died for us all on the cross and that is the main important reality. You will never be able to rely on “man” because “man” fell. “Man” can be false prophets. “Man” can be the antichrist. “Man” can be a wolf in sheep’s skin. I have relied on the Holy Spirit for this understanding. I prayed before I read Revelation. I prayed and the Holy Spirit helped me to understand by not my own understanding, but God’s understanding. So if you think I am making this up, then you have made the bible to being a lie and when you say that the bible is a lie, than you are saying Jesus is a liar and God is liar. God isn’t a liar nor Jesus is a liar.

Pray that the Holy Spirit will bless you with understanding beyond your doubt. I pray that the Holy Spirit teach and show you what you need to learn.

In the grace of our Lord Jesus, may His blessings be upon you forever, until Jesus returns.

God bless
